Your First 4 Weeks at Taylor Carpenter Personal Training
Week 1 — Consultation and movement assessment
Your first session is part conversation, part assessment. We cover your training history, injury history, goals, schedule, and nutrition habits, then work through a movement screen to identify any mobility or stability issues worth building around. You leave Week 1 with a written plan.
Weeks 2–3 — Foundational program and habit building
Sessions focus on nailing the movement patterns that will drive your results for the next several months — hinge, squat, push, pull, carry — while layering in the habit work (sleep, protein, step count) that makes the training stick.
Week 4 — Progress review and program progression
At the four-week mark we step back, measure what's changed, and adjust the program. Expect real data, not cheerleading: weights moved, reps completed, body-composition shifts, and how the training is fitting into your life.

In small-group or semi-private training, one coach works with 2–6 clients at a time, which means your form cues, programming, and rest periods are averaged across the group. In true 1-on-1 training, every minute of the session is yours. At Taylor Carpenter Personal Training, you don't even share the gym floor — the 1,250 sq ft studio is yours for the full session.
Do I need to be in shape before I start?
A significant portion of my clients start without any recent training history, and several start while working around existing injuries. The program meets you where you are on day one.
Do you offer nutrition coaching as part of 1-on-1 training?
